Therefore, we developed En- Match, a cross-tier matchmaking method which enables our model to estimate player engagement for multiple-vs-k scenarios.
Results demonstrate the model has strong predictive power and generalization ability, outshone by search-based heuristics such as EOMM and OptMatch as well as general NCO methods like PointerNetwork in both SPG and RPGPVP datasets. It also outshone RL-based Glo- Match which was more efficient for local searches within single games but did not take player state into consideration during decision processes; by contrast, En- Match could find players for each individual game within multigame scenarios.
